Saturday
dawned with, shall we say " just a drop of rain ? " or should we be
honesty and say it bucketed down ! Thoughts were, will it still be okay to carry
on ? |

When we awoke on Sunday morning, it wasn't raining, the sun was threatening to shine and we all kept our fingers crossed for a dry Drive It Day road run. We weren't disappointed, the tractors started to arrive at the same time as the sun so this bought out quite a few happy faces. |

10.30 on Sunday morning arrived, we had eaten our bacon rolls, the sun was shinning, the tractors were ready so we had all the ingredients for a great road run. |

|
|
The road
was empty, the birds were singing (much better than some people last night!), |

As you can see it wasn't only the tractors |
But then it was all too much for some people |
|
After just over 18 very enjoyable miles they started to arrive back at Sue and Gary's |

All that was left to do now was enjoy a really delicious Roast lunch and dessert have a bit more of a yarn then get things ready for moving off |
|
A really BIG "Thank You" must go firstly to Sue and Gary for the use of their property and their hospitality and for organising such a great event, to the Ladies who prepared, cooked served and washed up after the meals, (note:- must remember to get a new waitress for next year ) the "bar staff" and the men for erecting and taking down the marquee and the lighting. Thanks to you all for making it such an enjoyable weekend. |
